{"id":2282,"date":"2015-06-26T03:05:06","date_gmt":"2015-06-26T03:05:06","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/www.vivehealth.com.au\/blog\/?p=2282"},"modified":"2015-06-26T03:05:06","modified_gmt":"2015-06-26T03:05:06","slug":"matts-poached-pear-vanilla-sheep-yoghurt","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/www.vivehealth.com.au\/blog\/2015\/06\/26\/matts-poached-pear-vanilla-sheep-yoghurt\/","title":{"rendered":"Matt&#8217;s Poached Pear with Vanilla Sheep Yoghurt"},"content":{"rendered":"<p><strong>Ingredients<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>4 firm pears (almost unripe)<br \/>\n1\/2 cup raw organic honey<br \/>\n1\/2 cup coconut sugar<br \/>\n2 cups of your favourite organic red wine<br \/>\n6 star anise<br \/>\n4 cinnamon quills<br \/>\n1 cup Meridith Dairy sheep&#8217;s yoghurt<br \/>\n1 tsp Madagascan gold vanilla powder (more if desired)<br \/>\n2 vanilla pods seeds removed<br \/>\n<strong>Directions<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>Strain sheeps yoghurt in fridge for 24hr (Muslin or a fine sieve works well). Peel your pears (leaving stalks on) and place them in a large stove top pot. Add enough water to cover them completely with water.\u00a0 Adding all other ingredients bring it to the boil. Simmer until pears become soft (but don&#8217;t lose their shape &#8211; generally 20-30 mins).<\/p>\n<p>For vanilla sheep yoghurt remove from muslin and combine in a mixing bowl with vanilla paste.
