Acai: A Delicious Powerhouse Packed Inside a Humble Berry

Açaí is a palm fruit that grows on the banks of the Amazon, the most bio-diverse ecosystem on the planet. But to indigenous tribes, it’s said the seed of the Açaí fruit birthed the Amazon.

This small berry is packed full of rich antioxidant vitamins and minerals. It’s a rich source of vitamin A, E and C,  as well as essential minerals calcium, iron, potassium and sodium.

The açai berry is an excellent source of fibre, essential fatty acids and protein to help sustain optimal immune function and a key component of a healthy balanced diet. The dietary fibre found in the açai berry keeps your digestive system to run at its optimal pace, but is also used as a cleanser and detoxifier. The antioxidants and omega 3, 6 and 9 fatty acids work together to assist in the maintenance of healthy hair, skin and nails and promotion of general wellbeing.
