Which probiotic is right for you?

Did you know that different probiotic species have different actions? Increasingly evidence is emerging implicating specific probiotic species and strains in the treatment of various ailments.

It can be challenging at times to navigate the vast array of available probiotics. Of course it is always best to consult a naturopath or nutritionist, but here is a quick overview of which probiotic may be right for you from an evidence-based perspective.

 

Non-alcoholic Fatty Liver Disease (NAFLD)Liver Disease

There is evidence to suggest that the species found in Orthoplex Multiflora, including Lactobacillus casei, L. acidophilus, L. plantarum, L. delbrueckii spp bulgaricus, Bifidobacterium longum, B. breve, B. infantis and Streptococcus thermophiles, may improve symptoms and clinical markers in NAFLD.
